Whether it's a short-term lease or buying a brownstone for life, everyone is looking for their own special part of this amazing city. Christopher is proud to be a facilitator in that process for his clients. An avid researcher and fantastic organizer, Christopher presents his clients with the most relevant options and best opportunities based on their needs. He makes the search extremely efficient, as he does the entire transaction once his clients decide on 'the one.'
Having lived in four different rental apartments and now in his own condo, Christopher understands the daunting, yet exciting, task of finding a home in Manhattan.

Originally from Maryland, he grew up on his family's horse farm, home to Preakness and Belmont winner "Afleet Alex." He moved to the big city 16 years ago. Christopher started in the East Village, then moved to Hell's Kitchen, Long Island City, and now Hamilton Heights. Prior to entering real estate, Christopher perfected his keen eye and customer service skills at the Salon at Bergdorf Goodman as a freelance hair stylist for television and magazines. He has worked with many types of people, has a natural ability to listen, intuitively takes in exactly what a client wants, and possesses patience that is legendary.

When not busy showing properties, Christopher takes advantage of the city in his free time as much as possible. His real estate clients often rely on him for restaurant, theater, and New York City neighborhood recommendations. Chris is also very involved in The Trevor Project as a member of The Impact Circle. He has been a host or on the host committee for many of their fundraisers in both NYC and The Hamptons.

Testimonials

Christopher is a true professional and simply a wonderful person. He was extremely patient as my family and I looked at 20+ apartments across the West side of Manhattan. Every time we went out, he curated an extensive list of appointments that were carefully orchestrated based on our requests and his suggestions. He always respected our budget. When we found the apartment that is now our home, Christopher seamlessly led us through the intricate processes of making an offer, organizing our board application and supporting us during the closing. He's a patient, kind person who has a thoughtfulness that is rare. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend Christopher as a broker.

Christopher Ritchey is the best!! Looking for a home in NYC is an incredible way to see the city and imagine your future. The journey is emotional, inspiring and, at times, daunting. My wife and spoke with several realtors and we liked Chris instantly. His care, patience, focus and expertise made our journey to buy an apartment a story that we'll always treasure. He made the visits easy by hiring a car (with a car seat!) and he magically conducted the schedule to see as many apartments as we did. Our coop board package was PERFECT. Thank you Chris! The value of his insights and perspective was enhanced by his genuine care that we find the right home for us. And we did! We couldn't have achieved our goal without Chris.

Chris Ritchey is an incredible broker. Recently, My husband took a job in NYC by way of Alabama. I traveled up to NYC and apartment hunted with Chris on two different occasions. Before I even arrived to NYC the first trip, he had sent me at least 10 listings that fit exactly what I asked for- no going over budget, square footage, location, move in time, etc. Because I am not familiar with the area, he took me through the different neighborhoods to get a feel for each area. This was amazingly beneficial when deciding which buildings to look into. Chris was extremely professional, courtesy, and diligent with his research of my various requests and accommodations (17 month old child so no balconies, and a baby on the way in September, so no walk ups). He listened to what I had to say, and even scheduled a showing about a particular candy store or two so we could "location scout" (pregnancy cravings). Chris was able to making looking for apartments in New York City an enjoyable experience.  I could not imagine a better individual to help with relocating to the city.
